Why is DHS treating management as a  "step son". Why is not the opt extension applicable for management?? what's your saying.

you can use this to check whether your major falls into the category or not....as far as i know economics, finance, management, accounting, social science in general doesnt fall into STEM category..

It's not as easy as engineering to get job and internship for management students. But if you take CPA exam or CFA then you can sell yourself easily. Good luck those are not easy tests.

It is because the dont have shortage of American workers in the management field. Americans who study sciences or enginerring also tend to go towards management or finance because it is well paid. But its not the case for Science or Engenerring or Math. Hope it answers your curiosity.

Management is not an easy subject. I am graduating next semester and also felt so bad by this news. All my friends who have science/ engineering/Technology majors are very excited. I am happy for them. But it sucks when I come to the reality that OPT extension is not for business student like me.

Everyday should be treated equally!!!! If they give to Science Major Why not Business Arts!!!!

I really felt bad about this news... this is totally partiality

They cannot determine this just because of different major. If they pass this kinda law , they better do for everybody...not for one or 2 people...

Really a sad day for us.. who took major..arts, management..etc..
