 काठमाडौं, १५ मे/ नेकपा एमालेको पन्ध्रगतेदेखि जारी केन्द्रीय कमिटिको १८ औं बैठक आज साँझ सम्पन्न भएको छ । बैठकले पार्टीका वरिष्ठ नेता झलनाथ खनाललाई महासचिव चयन गरेको छ ।
आजको बैठकमा झलनाथ खनाललाई महासचिव चयन गर्न र परिवर्तनको अनुभूति दिन आवश्यक छ भन्दै निवर्तमान महासचिव माधवकुमार नेपालले प्रस्ताव राख्नुभएको थियो । सो प्रस्तावलाई कार्यवाहक महासचिव अमृतकुमार बोहराले र्समर्थन गर्नुभएपछि सदस्यहरुबीच दिनभरी छलफल भएको थियो । छलफलमा पार्टीमा युवा पुस्तालाई समेट्नुपर्ने, गुटबन्दीको अन्त्य गर्नुपर्ने र पार्टीलाई तल्लो निकायदेखि माथिल्लो निकायसम्म पुनर्गठन गर्नुपर्ने भनाइ आएको थियो ।
केन्द्रीय सदस्यहरुले बोल्ने क्रम सकिएपछि झलनाथ खनाललाई सर्वसम्मतीले महासचिव चयन गरिएको छ । खनाल तत्कालीन मालेका महासचिव हुनुहुन्थ्यो । उहाँले २०३९ सालदेखि २०४६ सालसम्म महासचिवको भूमिका निर्वाह गर्नुभएको थियो । उहाँकै कार्यकालमा नेकपा माले लोकप्रिय पार्टी बनेको थियो ।
शाही शासनकालमा एमालेका महासचिव माधवकुमार नेपाल नजरबन्दमा पर्नुभएपछि झलनाथ खनालले नै पार्टीको संयोजकको हैसियतले आन्दोलनको नेतृत्व गर्नुभएको थियो ।
महासचिव चुनिनुभएपछि खनालले अमेरिकादर्पणसँग कुरा गर्दै भन्नुभयो-' नेकपा एमालेलाई अब नयाँ शिराबाट पुनर्गठन गरिनेछ र सबै युवाहरुलाई समेटेर लगिने छ ।' उहाँले अगाडि भन्नुभयो -' पार्टीभित्र देखिएको गुटबन्दीलाई अब सदाका लागि अन्त्य गरिने छ ।'
एमालेको १९औं केन्द्रीय कमिटिको बैठक जेठ ५ गतेदेखि बस्नेछ ।

I have no idea whether he can drive the party to that height in such a leg pulling situation. However, I can say he is one of the politicians that country really need. A clean guy until this time.

A good move forward for UML, he has to borrow some words from KP Oli, to draw clear differences with maoist, otherwise, maoist will eat them up easily.

One good thing we can expect is He has already been secretary and has served in a time when parties were prohibited, and that was the time when there was a huge number of increasing dedicated cadres. After 2046, when parties became open they almost ignored organization spread. They gave entry to some popular/ unpopular members but with no knowledge in politics or at least with no dedication. Yes, there should be clear line that differentiates UML from Maoist and Congress, UML is trying to be revolutionary than Maoist and Demcratic than NC. and is not possible. so, there should be clear area where it can say We are alternatives to none and we have no alternatives. This is the time when organization needs to be rearranged/ reorganize , save from fleeing the party member to maoist. beacause now many have started thinking maoist are alternatives to UML.
