One of my frens reported to having bed bug in his apartment. The landlord company charged him a penalty of $500 for having brought the bugs in to the apartment.

He paid $500 and does still sleep with the bed bugs all night.

Try sprinkling regular table salt in all edges of the carpets, I believe it should work ....... it should suck the moisture out of the bugs ....... if it works let us all know ....... if it doesn't there is no harm trying .... I am sure you will find the difference if not eradicate the suckers.

ritthe, you salt remedy works well for leeches only.  Never heard anyone use such for bed-bugs.  LMAO  BTW, dharara, if you have bed-bugs, you're doomed son!  You gotta get rid of the entire furniture in your apartment.  These parasites do not just stick to beds (as per their name).  A person I know who worked at the Marriott (or one of those high end hotels) said that her hotel had to strip all the rooms on a certain floor just because there was a bed-bug incident in one of the rooms.  Hope you all now realize the severity of the problem...No buying second hand furniture from those ads and defn, pls refrain from the Nepali mentality of picking up perfectly normal looking furniture from the street...For all you know, it could be infested with those damn bugs!!

You must have brought something that were for free or bought stuff made wiht used product. Sometimes, people who sell the matres, sofa or so so with old material do not steralize the reused product properly. Though, there is a federal law to sterelize the used products, there is no special procedure, so people reusing that just spray some normal pest control chemical, that doesn't help to kill all of the bugs present.

So, it not possible to do anything, as those bugs are usually stuck in matress or sofa's part that it not possible to find out. In the program I had seen, there were dogs trained to find it out.

So you better get rid of all of those product, before they get into other things. If they have already got everywhere, throw everything clothes stuff and move into new apartment.

First check to see if you are alergic to your bedding.  It may be something as simple as getting new sheets if you are alergic to the dies used in coloring your sheets.

If you have seen the bugs, then try a commercial product.  They are not cheap.  Long ago DDT used to be used for this purpose.  I don't know if it is still available.

There is no easy way to kill bedbugs.  They are as prolific as cockroaches.

Depending on the level of infestation, it may be impossible to get rid of all of them entirely.

Here is some information found after searching  Kill Bedbugs.

samsara, I don't believe it is right to classify picking reusable stuff off the street as 'nepali mentality'. It is all too common in my experience, here in the US as well as in Europe. In Germany, people actually put stuff outside in front of their house so anyone who found it useful could take it. As long as you use your common-sense about where you pick the stuff up from and its condition, you should be fine. It is always wise to check for bugs and other defects before bringing it into the house though.

Use spray chemicals in the nooks and crannies of the bedroom walls, door and furniture there-in if available. Otherwise, have a professional come and do that for you which might cost up to $500 dollars.

I read an article a while ago that bed bugs have appeared in cheap motel rooms and college dorms in the US after a long hiatus. Cleanliness of bedroom furnishing is the key to prevent such infestations.

i still have bed bugs in my apartment. But the best part is there are not much as there used to be. I got rid of my mattress, couches, tables, chairs and even suitcases full of clothes. We hid everything from the landlord and its working well. i will be leaving the apartment after 2 months.
my advise is to get rid of all items affected by bugs and get boric acid from nearby store. (as advised by others in previous forum)
