Not surprised. Safin is the most mercurial player in the world. One day he can beat federer a next day he can lose to player ranked 500.

It is shocking, provided the form Djokovic had just before the series. He was one serious contender for this year's title. I was expecting a good semi-final match between Djokovic and Roger Federer.

But Marat Safin is a great player and can beat anyone in the world on his day. Probably he has got a good morale after climbing Cho Oyu in Nepal.

By the way, how is Safina doing? It would be a great moment to see a brother and a sister winning a tournament. Well, that's too far.
