'No alcohol was found in Dipendra's blood sample'
In a startling revelation, a senior military doctor has claimed that no trace of alcohol was found in the blood samples of the late King Dipendra, accused of committing the June 1 palace massacre under the influence of liquor and drugs, a newspaper report said.
Brigadier (Dr) Khagendra Bahadur Shreshtha, who operated on Dipendra's brain at the Birendra Military Hospital soon after the shooting, told the high-level official panel probing the incident that no trace of alcohol was found in his blood during the surgery, a leading Nepalese weekly, Deshantar Saptahik, claimed.
Though blood samples collected from the site of the shooting showed traces of nicotine, they did not show traces of alcohol and psychotropic substances, the report said.
While making the inquiry report public on Thursday, the speaker of the Lower House, Taranath Ranabhat, had said that on that fateful Friday night, Dipendra had played billiards by himself or spent some time in the billiards room at the Tribhuvan Sadan inside the palace in the course of which he drank one or two pegs of The Famous Grouse whisky neat.
Quoting eyewitnesses, he also said that four close relatives of Dipendra saw the crown prince swaying, unable to hold himself upright, and wondering if it was the effect of the whisky, took him to his bedchamber inside Tribhuvan Sadan.
The two-member panel headed by Chief Justice Keshab Prasad Upadhyaya had alleged that Dipendra shot and killed his father King Birendra, mother Queen Aishwarya and seven other members of the royal family with automatic weapons at the palace, after a heavy intake of liquor and drugs.

Can we buy it...why did he keep mum during the investigation..did he say anything similar before the committee if not exactly?
The fact of the matter is they (Baburam and his bosses from Lainchaur ) want to see off Gyanendra and his family...a good way would be to execute the ex-king and his son and let the rest rot inside the jail. But having no evidence or good evidence can backfire the locals as well as the international...so they have started collecting evidences now...they know the danger of his presence even it is in the backwater. God bless the innocents!

Dipendra must have taken alcohol in that royal gathering. even under conspiracy theory that someone had killed his family, he must be encouraged by someone to take alcohol heavily so that he would be almost unconcious and could not be doing anything in his protection. But, why Paras had to leave Nepal after completely loosing all the power is also suspicious i guess. is he fearing that someone sooner or later will disclose the conspiracy and his life will be at danger if he lives in Nepal? or he just wanted to go away because of some humiliation he is feeling now?

well said kanchu..........while India and the political parties are raping the country and breaking it into pieces these numbskulls are still after the king who has gracefully given up HIS THRONE so people of nepal can further pursue this New Nepal..... what cracks me up again and again is that if the King and his son were such power monsters........why didnt they order a military coup and silenced everyone...........Man, if killing my family to gain my family assets for myself was challenged by my neighbour...would I give a rats ass??? NO.....so people please try to concentrate on how to save Nepal from Indian grip ..........and leave you hear say remarks to your fantasy world. Let the King live in peace.

IMO, sajha is a place to share and discuss anything, anyone has in their mind. Its not like if we changed all the topic to politics, its gonna make a major difference. yeha kag karaudai garcha, utha pina sukdai bascha, if know what i mean. "Tintotopi" prolly just wants to talk about it and if few people think they don't give a rats a** about the topic then just don't post in this thread, plain and simple. i really don't see any point of stressing what the politicians are doing back home in every thread, we all are aware of their ill nature and actions. nothing against anyone here though.
