We are searching for an experienced Software Configuration Management Engineer
to administer TFS and Visual Source Safe repositories, build software
components for internal applications and product releases, and assist
in monitoring the development and test environments.  Core
responsibilities for this position are Configuration Management
scripting, building and enhancing current processes.  In addition,
participating with Operations, this position requires monitoring and
ensuring development and test environments have correct configuration
and processes.  The ideal candidate will possess good technical and problem solving skills, positive attitude, strong communication skills, and, the ability to work as a team member.

 

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop and execute software configuration management tasks; tasks include building software deliverables from source code control, scripting of builds, and tracking of build versions on a Microsoft platform.
• Administer the source code repositories in TFS and Visual SourceSafe.
• Contribute to and drive the development and implementation of team and group process improvements.
• Monitor processes within development and test environments.
• Assist in defining schedules and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with internal customers, most often software developers and testers, on assigned projects.
• Participate as a team member and assist other team members where needed.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years experience in software configuration management; experience with Team Foundation Server and Visual SourceSafe a plus.
• Solid understanding of CM best practices.
• Windows system scripting experience.
• Ability to actively communicate and escalate status and issues.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment to deliver results with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
