Someone had to speak.
Here is the one who finally dared to speak.
Narayan Man Bijukche Rohit, a gutsy communist leader who is advocating presidential rule in the country for quite some time now has alleged India for bribing Nepal’s Madhesi leaders “instructing” not to support the Unified Maoists’ Party in the prime ministerial race.
A tear-jerking allegation against the ‘traditional neighbor’ at a time when a high-powered Chinese delegation is in town.
Could not be a mere conjecture!
A 22 member jumbo Chinese delegation led by vice premier He Yong landed in Kathmandu September 11, 2010.
“I have the information that an “Indian Embassy high ranking official and an agent of RAW had threatened Bijaya Kumar Gacchedhar and other Madhesi leaders not to extend support to the Unified Maoists’ Party under any circumstance”, said Bijukche and added, “India has spent 220 Million Rupees to foil the prospect of formation of government in Nepal”.
So Comrade Rohit is in knowledge even of the amount spent by the Indian regime? He must be intelligent then.
His information source deserves appreciation.
The RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) is India’s notorious intelligence mainly involved in creating unrest in the neighboring countries, more so in Nepal.
“The Indian intelligence official at a five star hotel in Kathmandu, September 1 and 2 had met with various Madhesi leaders and threatened them all not to support the Maoists’ Party but if they went against Indian wishes, they will not be allowed to enter even the Tarai area of Nepal (beyond Chure Area of Nepal that begins down Hetaunda town, Makwanpur district)”, also claimed Bijukche.
Grave allegation indeed.
“The Indian government and Indian leaders do not want you (implied Madheshi parties of Nepal) to support the Maoists Party”, Narayan Man quoted the Indian Intelligence agent as saying.
Rohit made this tantalizing revelation as if he himself was loitering around when such sad event happened the hotel which remains yet unidentified.
Generally the Indian officials organize meet of such “high import” at Hotel yak and yeti, it is widely talked and believed in Nepal.
Mr. Bijukche who is the chairman of Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party (Peasants party) made these allegations against India while speaking at a program held in Bhaktapur, September 11, 2010.
“The Nepali population has now become fully aware that the key to Nepali politics lay in New Delhi”, he also said.
Mr. Buijukche alleged India instead for having fabricated the alleged conversation between Maoists’ leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara and an unknown Chinese official wherein Mahara had demanded a staggering amount of 500 Million rupees to buy support of some parliamentarians in favor of Maoists’ Party.
Bijukche’s defense of China is understandable though.
“India is behind the conspiracy because the news (Mahara audio tape) was disseminated by India first”, Mr. Bijukche opined.
Talking on the fate of UNMIN said Bijukche, “Deadlock in Nepali politics as the result of debate over the fate of UNMIN is the nothing but contradicting stances adopted primarily by the US and India.”
“India primarily wants UNMIN to quit because it wants to send its Military Mission in Nepal”, said Bijukche and added, “If UNMIN goes, we must also break our relations with India.”
“UNMIN wants to control our National Army, but India wants to establish its sole control over Nepal”, he also said.
“The fight is in between India and the US for UNMIN”, he concluded.
To recall, some years back, Michael Malinowski, the US Ambassador to Nepal, was dead against UNMIN arrival in Nepal.
It is time that the Nepal Madhesh parties clarify as to what in effect had happened on September 1 and 2, 2010?
