Nuclear  power  plant  मा accident  भएर तेस्मा प्रयोग  हुने uranium  meltdown  भएमा radioactive  material हाबा मा फैलिन गइ तेस्को असर जन स्वास्थ्य/बाताबरण  मा  पर्न जान्छा, अझ त्यो radioactive  material  लाइ  हाबा ले बगाएर   लैजादा तेस्को असर टाडा टाडा सम्म पुग्छा, १९८४ मा चेर्नोबिल मा भएको दुर्घटना को अशर पोल्याण्ड सम्म पुगेको थियो, हाबा ले radioactive  material  फैलाएर अन्य  पुर्बी European  देश सम्म पुर्याको थियो
अहिले जापान मा radioactive  material  leak  भएमा तेस्को असर त्यो ठाम मा र त्यो nuclear  reactor  भएको  ठाम बाट prevailing  wind  को दिसा जता हुन्छा  तेता तिर फैलिन्छ. र humidity , wind  speed  र temperature  को राम्रो combination  मिलेमा त्यो धेरै टाडा सम्म पनि पुग्न सक्छा. यो भयो situation  on  the   ground . अब अर्को सम्भाबना   तिर लागम

हाम्रो दक्चिन को छिमेकि ले पनि nuclear  power  plant  बनाउदै छ विभिन्न ठाम मा भन्ने सुनिन्छा, हामी सबै लै थाहा वाई आएको हो कि मनसून देखि अन्य  wind  को direction  नेपाल पनि  हो भनेर, अनी हाम्रो दक्चिन को छिमेकि मा nuclear  power  plant  मा दुर्घटना भै uranium  meltdown  भएर हाबा मा leak  भएमा नेपाल संग को त्यो power  plant    को proximity  र तेहा बाट बग्ने wind  को direction  ले गर्दा नेपाल सम्म पनि आइ पुग्छा,
दोस्रो हाम्रो दक्चिन को छिमेकी को उसको पश्चिम को छिमेकी  संग राम्रो सम्बन्ध छैन, पस्छिम को छिमेकी  संग missile  छ तर तिनीहरु को guiding  सिस्टम बारे चाही  निकै संका गर्न पर्ने हुन्छ ( तिनी हरु संग त्यो technology  नभएको हुदा) तेस्ले गर्दा एदी लडाई परेको खण्ड मा( remote  possibility ) तेस्ले  ले हाम्रो दक्चिन को छिमेकि कहाँ   missile  हिर्कौदा guiding    system  नमिलेर nuclear  power   plant  मा लग्न सक्छ र nuclear  meltdown  हुन सक्छ . तेसबाता पनि नेपाल मा radioactive  material  पुग्न सक्छा.

नेपाल/नेपाली ले क गर्ने त?

दक्छिन  को छिमेकी को हाल कहाँ कहाँ nuclear  power  plant   छ, नेपाल बाट कति टाडा छ, accident  भएको खण्ड मा त्यो ठाम बाट wind  ले radioactive  material  नेपाल सम्म आउने सम्भावना कति को छ भनेर आनुसंधन गर्नी. र दक्चिन को छिमेकि लै नया नया power  plant  नेपाल को नजिक र नेपाल तर्फा औनी wind  direction  ले cover  गरेको ठाम भन्दा आली पर nuclear  power  प्लान्ट राख्न अनुरोध गर्ने. हाम्रो देश मा पर्न सक्ने असर लै देखाएर.
मैले एती भन्दा बडी गर्न नसक्ने/नमिल्ने भएकोले कोइ नेपाल प्रेमी ले येश मा कुनै काम गर्नु होला भन्ने आशा गरेको छु

I think dharke is talking about India and Pakistan. Basically we can say India is in our south and in the west of India is Pakistan. Am I right dharke?

I checked and yes B'desh is also in the process of building Nuclear power plant. It will start functioning in 2017/18. and we know that air from "Bay of Bangal" do visit Nepal. So, there is a necessity of maping this part too, the air steam from Bay of Bangal to Nepal and locationof nuclear power plant must be taken into consideration. In my origionl posting I overlooked this part. Thank you once again.

This is a good point raised by Dharkey. You can't take it from its face value but you can certainly derive some preparedness we have to do from our side.

First, The nuclear plants that are in India are not in the epicenter. The ones in Pakistan are. But India, Bangladesh are certainly building new ones, I am more concerned about the one being built in Pakistan and Bangladesh as they both are in the epicenter line.

Second, we probably cannot do much about them building the nuclear site, but we can atleast raise this issue to international level. They won't relocate the site for us, but they can include us in their emergency evacuation zone and send us the notices too.

At the minimum this needs to be studied.

 So where exactly are the nuclear power plants in India, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh?  Does anybody know?  I have to assume there has to be a certain buffer area between the plant and international border, yes?  Any of those in the state of say.... Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarkhand or Tibet?

नाम जे भए नि, मलाई तपाईं ले गरेको कुरा चैं हाम्रो देशको लागि secondary issue हो जस्तो लाग्यो। हाम्रो देश आँफै seismic vulnerable zone मा पर्छ। अब हाम्रो देशमा seismic resistant structural code establish होला र त्यही अनुरुप कार्वन्यवयन होला भनेर सोच्नु त अहिलेको लागि दिवा सपना देख्नु जस्तो मात्रै हो। फेरी बनी सकेका संरचनाहरु त छँदै छन। ठुलो भुकम्प गएको खण्डमा हाम्रो देशमा हुन सक्ने क्षती अकल्पनिय छ। त्यसैले हाम्रा छिमेकी देशले बनाउने योजना गरेका आँणविक भट्टी बिस्फोट भएको खण्डमा हावाले के के उडाएर ल्याउन सक्छ अनी हामीले के गर्ने भनेर पीर गर्नु भन्दा पहिले (त्यस बिषयमा पीर नै गर्नु पर्दैन भन्न खोजेको चै हैन नि फेरी) भुकम्प गएको खण्डमा आफुलाई कसरी बचाउन सकिन्छ भन्ने आधारभुत तालिम हाम्रा स्कुलहरुमा/काम गर्ने ठाउँहरुमा दिनुपर्ने ब्यबस्था mandate गर्न जोड दिनु पर्छ कि जस्तो लाग्छ।
