i have dental problems for a a long time so i would like to share somethings with you. when i did not have insurance i used to get discount plan like ameriplan , check out their website, it kicks in right after you sign up and only costs 14 dollars a months and it give u a lot of discount on lots of things, i was getting rootcanal for 300 when actual price was 700 in 2005. but again, it was 2005 so check out the discount and their policies for today, you do however have to pay upfront but you get discount with the discount plan. Also, check out university hospitals in your area and charaties, sometimes you get lucky but you have to look for them. 2100 for tooth extraction is a lot of money. I would say go to a diff dentist , i started going to a little china town of my town and started saving a lot of money on things i needed to do. comfort dental estimated 210000 for my teeth, and honestly i think i have spent 3000 and got almost everything done. but since last year i have dental coverage. i think some dental insurance don't care about preexisting conditions, is it sitll legal with obama's policies, check it out, you may still save, call em up ask don't hesitate to ask.

btw, i am not a doc but with my experience, if it was hurting and swelling too and went away with antiobiotic means you had infection. if it's not bothering much then you have soem time to sign up for an insurance plan. why do you think they wont' cover? i think you'll be covered. i had a wisdome tooth for years cuz it wasn't bothering me, finally took it out 2 weeks ago.
