On Mrityu Loka ( पृथ्वी ), one thing keeps you alive and that is Hope. You exist because you have this tremendous power within you which is Hope. Without Hope, human life will be like fish without water. Without Hope humans will be a living dead. Suicide happens when all Hopes are drained from your system. Unfortunate is this situation where there is no Hope. Every actions of yours depends on this Hope.

Hope is always directed towards future. There is always connection between Hope and future. You perform certain actions hoping that it will bring your desired result in near future. Will you perform any action if there was no Hope in you for your desired results? Students study hard because there is a Hope in them. Farmers work hard in their field because they have Hope in them. Mother drains her energy making milk for her baby because she has Hope for her new born baby. Without Hope life cannot be! Hope is that propelling factor where life finds its meaning. Hope gives value to life.

Why do you want to continue your life every single day by providing it nourishment? Every single night when you go to bed there is this unconscious awareness in you that gives Hope in you that you will be alive tomorrow for sure. What gives this certainty in you? It is Hope alone. No activity is possible if there was no Hope at the very first place. If an enemy grabs your neck trying to kill you, you do your best to keep yourself alive. You love your life that much! Even when all your family members are drowning in a sea along with you, you try to save your life first. There is this love for life. Not for somebody's else life but your own life. Why? Because there is Hope.

Besides the fake attempt at stream of consciousness I could not come up with any better critique. The point being, to quote Dan Dennet, "It's very hard to change people's mind on something like consciousness... ..the reason for that is everybody's an expert on consciousness. If you work on climate change, you might have a strongly held opinion. You don't claim that you're an expert. But when it comes to consciousness, everybody's an expert. Simply by being conscious, we know all about this. We talk about consciousness with amazing confidence.”

I guess it is our innate right to talk kudos about hope, faith, transcendence, consciousness, dharma and Greg.

Probably a misguided analogy that I mistook this article for; just by being a Nepali, I feel I am an expert in Development Economics. I do not have a strongly held opinion on how my country should be developed, I have an expert opinion.

Hope this doesn't help.

Human life is Psycho-physical. Biologically, we need ATP (Adenosine Triphospate) for this physical body to run. But, we are not just this physical body, we are more than that. Our psychological needs are tremendous. We want to fulfill our desires, our aspirations in this world. We don't just become satisfied because our physical hunger has been quenched.

Desire is a psychological food and Hope is that force within us which propels our entire personality towards the direction of our desires. Hope opens new possibilities. It saturates our system with vitality and courage. The basis of our physical and mental activity is Hope. River flows with its tremendous force hoping it will reach the ocean one day. The sole goal of river is to reach the ocean and become One with it. All our activities in this world is similar to the flow of the rivers. Actions without Hope is like trying to turn on the computer without supplying electricity! It will be a futile act and you will never succeed.

When Nepalese have Hope for their nation, their desires to do this and that for their nation manifests in their conscious mind. Hope supplies positive power in the human mind. When electricity is out, bulb cannot produce any light. Similarly, without Hope, nothing can be achieved. Hope must come first. Hope is also a unifying factor. When many Hopes stand together, impossible becomes possible. Sound energy can be amplified using amplifiers. Similarly, When Hopes unite together, it creates an amplifying effect which can bring about a radical transformation. Therefore, keep Hoping and let this positive power saturate your entire system and may you radiate this positivity in all directions.
