I have two computers in my house (eeeeeeh....I mean apartment).....one is in the living room and one is in the bed room and I am now thinking to buy a Laptop(...Just thinking hai...I dunno how far I can stretch my budget)......so my question is: Is there a way we can use the internet at the same time in two or more different computers and what do I need to do that ( I am asking for list so that I can start shopping)....FYI...I still use the DIAL UP connection coz the fee for DSL in my apartment is too dang high.....so any Sajha techies who want to share their ideas and help out (...I know...I know....I always ask for help like Phoencards...digital camera...and now Whatever....)

by a switch and some RJ 45 cable then you can share it.....or buy some wireless switch...

I USE MY LABTOP WILL TYPING SAJHA IN TOILET..................SEE I CAN THINK SO MUCH IN TOILET SO I TYPE MOST OF MY POST FROM TOILET...............................I DONT KNOW ABOUT NEPAL BUT TRY IT.

Like Acharya said please get a router. Plus whats the use of using dial up these days? I am sure there are lots service providers aroud your area. You must do little research on that or ask the existing company to change it to high speed. Considering that there is so much competetion for service providers, I am assuming that you will surely find a service provider that respects your budget.

Btw, try getting a router and see if it works..you can always return if it back to Walmart..if it doesnt work, right? heheh good old walmart :)

if it is only two-three computers and dialup connection no need to buy routers.

first set up a lan, either wireless or wired

for wired buy lan cards for desktop and a pcmcia lan card for laptop, buy a small 8 port switch, buy lan cables with rj 45 connectors

for wireless buy wireless lan adaptors for desktop and laptops

after setting up the lan, just use ics (internet connection sharing). ics is available in win 98 se, win 2k and win xp versons.
