Charles Shobhraj was planning to escape: Reports
Charles Sobhhraj, the notorious international criminal who is facing life
sentence at the Central Jail in Kathmandu, had planned to escape by making other inmates unconscious, reports said.
It was revealed after the jail administration made investigations of
communication appliances- the mobile, laptop and UTL phone- used by him. Shobhraj was using these facilities clandestinely without the permission of jail authorities, reports said.
Officials probing into the case said that Shobhraj had established contact with various people with the intention of escaping form the jail. Concerned authorities were not available for comments despite repeated attempts by Nepalnews.
Earlier in 1986, Shobhraj had escaped from Tihad jail in the Indian capital, New Delhi by making 800 inmates unconscious.

How could the Jail Administration not know he was using all those devices?? Where did he get it from? My suspicion is that the jail administration provided those to him, since Shobhraj is known for his notoriety of enticing/luring people around him with his wit and charms to do things for him; that is how he escaped the jail in Delhi sometime back. He is alleged to have 'charms' that seduces rich women tourists (women in India were head over heels to go out with him when he escaped jail), and he later kills them or dumps them after acquiring money from them. And of course the Nepal Jail administration had to show to the public that it is better than any others (India and France and jailers all around?) for capturing and being able to keep Shobhraj in jail...I'm sure he's going to make his way out of there...
