A day after henious crime at nagarkot, RNA personnel entered a campus and chitwan and beat up 6 student brutally....

I do not think this will stop until we bring down this autocratic government and strip army with autonomous power.

If government security force commits this type of crime, how can we label maoist as terrorist?

If maoist are terrorist then so are RNA?
Gyane = prachanda
paras = baburam

pyarjung = badal

RNA = maoist army

Army Men Beat up Students in Bharatpur

THT Online
Narayangarh, December 17

Army personnel beat up the students entering the premises of the Birendra Multiple Campus, Bharatpur at noon on Friday. The students had been demonstrating against the massacre of 12 civilians by the army personnel at Chihandanda, Nagarkot, in Bhaktapur.
Campus Chief LB Chhetri said that almost 200 soldiers had entered the campus premises after encircling the campus before beating up the students. Six students were seriously injured in the incident, while six others were taken away by the army personnel. Terming the indiscriminate beating of students inside the campus premises "an act of cruelty," Chhetri said: "We condemn such acts. This should not have happened." According to the police, 15 policemen and nine students were injured in the scuffle following the students' demonstration. Police said they had arrested 22 students from the demonstration. The students torched a motorcycle at Pulchowk of Narayangarh, police said. At Pulchowk and Shahid chowk of Narayangarh, the police and the demonstrators clashed throughout the day, reports said. The police had to use teargas to tone down irate student mobs. Lieutenant Colonel Santosh Dhakal of the RNA's First Rifle Battalion said the army retaliated after some people in students' uniforms pelted stones from the Birendra Multiple Campus gate at the Barrack. "Nobody has been held under army custody. We just assisted the police," he added.

Pelting stones towards army barrack--well well not a nice thing to do, when we have seen the power of a lone drunk single sergent.

"a lone drunk single sergent"! Does he sit in Narayanhiti and directs his goons all over the country to terrorise all Nepalese sheep, goats and monkeys and kill some of them from time to time?

it would be nice if all nepalese carry guns (considering the fact that the one that is supposed to protect has turned into the one that needs to be protected from) but i don't think it is very likely, guns and ammunitions are expensive poor nepali are not in a situation to afford that, unless some out side help from nepalis is possible.

That is a very pertinent point. However, that is not all. For instance we can take the Maoist "people's army", which originated from a few daring individuals ready to stand up for their stand against a well-equipped state army. Who knows about tomorrow? 2 plus 2 in not necessarily four in human life's mathematics.

Well done! The bastards who go on a rampage, setting fire to public properties, need to be beaten. The so-called students union, who are supported and financially backed by politicians have no shame in claiming that they are students. They are the puppets of the politicians.

Whatever the case may be, it is good to see some thugs being beaten when they were throwing bricks to the passer-bys and setting fire to morotcycles.

Well said Kalsang. You are the man. You have the guts to classify the truth from the false. You have the guts to tell right from wrong.

I also think that if one goes on destroying property, they should be classified as criminals and acted upon accordingly.

"The bastards who go on a rampage, setting fire to public properties, need to be beaten." G and his fellow goons set fire to At Least Nepalese Rupees 400 million of our public property on his African Safari. What do you intend to do with that? Or you don't mind if the money comes from the pocket of some poor Dhakres paying 50 paisa tax when ever he buys a pack of matchbox?

oldier shoots youth in Pokhara; RNA says it was an act of self defense

One youth was injured when an Royal Nepalese Army (RNA) soldier stationed at a security check post opened fire at him in Pokhara on Saturday.

The soldier stationed at Simpani check post, Tundikhel, the entry point of Pokhara, first beat up Khadka (Nar) Bahadur Tamang of Lawanghlel VDC 4 when the latter showed his identity card.

Why do you show your identity card instead of your bag?, Kantipur daily quoted the soldier as saying citing an eyewitness. Then the soldier started to slap and kick him, the eyewitness added.

The soldier opened fire at Tamang when he cried for help. Tamang sustained bullet injury in his thigh.

However, a press statement issued by the Directorate of Public Relations of the RNA said a soldier took the action when Tamang tried to snatch a weapon from a security personnel who was undertaking a routine check of passengers on a microbus traveling from Hemja to Pokhara.

For the safety of other passengers, another security personnel on duty was forced to fire at the suspect during which he was injured, the statement said.

The statement of DPR further said that investigation into the incident and the injured suspected person who tried to snatch the weapons is underway.

Tamang was taken to Gandaki Hospital for treatment and his condition is stable.

Earlier, an army man Bashudev Thapa shot dead 12 civilians before killing himself following a minor scuffle with local villagers who were singing, drinking and dancing till late in the evening after a local fair at the Kalika Devi temple at Chihandanda on December 14. nepalnews.com pb Dec 25 05

Need more of these:
"Nepal Students Stir Over Nagarkot Killing

2005-12-25 19:00:08

NLN Correspondent, KATHMANDU:
Hundreds of students in Kathmandu demonstrated against the recent killings of civilians in Nagarkot, demanding genuine investigation and more compensation to the families of the victims.

Student supporters of the seven political parties not only protested the Nagarkot killings but also supported pro-democratic agitation launched by political parties.

Protesting students accused the government of plotting the Nagarkot massacre as a note of warning to people in order to prolong the dictatorial regime.

Addressing a mass meeting organized at the end of the rally that marched from New Baneshwar to Maitighar in the afternoon on Sunday, Nepal Student Union president Mahendra Sharma said, The Maoists are willing to join political mainstream but the King is standing as a barrier in the process.

Criticizing the government prohibition to hold student rallies and demonstrations at several locations, he warned that the students would soon stage demonstrations near the Narayanhiti Royal Palace.

President of All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), Khimlal Bhattarai, claimed that the students stir would put an end to the Kings autocratic moves. He also accused the government of trying to incite division among the people.

Several other student leaders also addressed the rally in which they protested the government and dubbed the Nagarkot killing as the dictatorial regimes intention to scare people with its military strength."

"Royal Nepalese Army (RNA) on Sunday said it was concerned over various unsubstantiated media reports." How about showing some concern for the dead, the beaten and the humiliated victims of RNA excesses?

RNA must be afraid the "various unsubstantiated media reports" will contradict whatever their "findings" will be.
