Attempt to Shoot Rallying Students Failed

THT Online
Kathmandu, February 9

The attempt of a Royal Nepalese Army to shoot rallying students at Bangemuda failed, as the cartridge of his gun happened to fall down, said Pradeep Poudel - the vice president of the Nepal Students Union.
Poudel, who was in the forefront during the protest rally organised from Thahity on Wednesday afternoon, said he was fortunate enough to save his life somehow after the cartridge of the gun fell down while the army pressed the trigger pointing him at Bangemuda.
"I managed to flee from the site when the army knelt down to pick the cartridge," he said.
He also said the incident was captured by the cameramen of Image Channel and Nepal 1 television channels. However, the army personnel seized both the cameras and asked them to delete the images. The Nepal 1 reporter who was present at the rally for reporting also confirmed the incident.
Dozens of students were participating the rally urging people not to participate in municipal polls.

For your kind information the taxi driver was shot dead by maoist not 7 parties.

So you stop your freaking propoganda trying to bring democratic forces and maoist together.

They are different in principal, but actually your Gyane and his army are no different than Prachanda and his militia...

We are fighting for democracy again both autocratic forces....

If you do not like it shove your royal chamcha head in your royal family's ass and keep quiet

They are barbarians indeed. Once upon a time I used to be pro-monarchy, but fuk it. I see what this whole sh1t is about. The problem here is that Nepal's indigenous population is being suppressed by Nepal's high castes(bahuns, chettris, thakuris and some Newari elites). Kathmandu is the center of everything, while rural areas are completely neglected. This goddamn sonufagun makes one fat salary, all collected from Nepalis of course. Goes right to his pocket. Imagine what could be done with that sort of money: we could open new schools in a remote location in Nepal, open new hospitals, lay some roads maybe, educate the masses. Hinduism sucks nuts. The first step towards democracy is to first declare Nepal as secular. Nepal's so-called "janjatis" have every right to feel disenchanted. No wonder Maoism is so appealing to some people. Nepali congress also has sucked nuts in the past because they always took side of Nepal's elites. These old gasbags like Girija are way too conservative to do anything about women's rights, classism, racism, and suppression of poor people. I hope he dies soon. Let's all pray Girija dies soon. He's an old goat. His days are numbered. However, let's end monarchy NOW. Somebody hire a hitman or something.

ATTN: BATHROOMCOFFEE;

The Taxi Driver Rodney King was hit by police. The torture scene was played in TV in US.
Violence broke out all over the united states. Last month in Paris and in Arab world last week . This kind of violence is unpredictable. How many ordinary people died in all those violence who has nothing do with it.Violence has always chain reaction like in Paris. It went on for weeks. If the government ignores what people are really demanding for. It can occurs the incidents like this. If preventive cure is not timely taken. So you have to listen to people´s voice.
We are not supporting Maoist violence or any other violence.
Should we just keep quite even Militery power pours boiling water on us?
We just want to PROTEST PEACEFULLY.
You and me are human being. It is our birthright to protest against dictatorship and Autocracy and cry for democracy.I believe in democracy, whoever is elected by people, should be allowed to run government. This election was not supported by anybody else than people like you and handful of Panchas and mandales. I do not know if you voted or not. I guess you could have done if you were in nepal. This puppet government has no right to rule the country and to decide the future of our country .
Democracy can be reached only with democratical practice. If you educated people living in pure democracy like you are barking for Mandales how can we reach there.
Who knows, may be the guy who shot the taxi driver was a Mandale. They might have taken this oppurtunity to escalate the situation from bad to worse . The result is that the day after, home minister said he would use his last option that means he gave orders to security personal to shoot at sight when somebody preaches against the election.
Before you stick with your philosophy and bark others you have to analyse the situation carefully.

Israel is a very small democratic country with 140 different parties. None of the government finishes his full term period. Election takes place in interval of 6 months to 2 years. This is democracy. There is no other alternative. Do you think if there was a king in Israel political situation would have been better.

You should drink your coffee in your living room and quit drinking coffee in bathroom.
Your good cup of coffee might smell and taste better and might think different too.

The word Monachy should not be available in our dictionary. We will find a secured place in nepalese history book. Then our children will learn nepal history about the Monarchy ...a once upon a time story..

Thuggedout,

I totally agree with you. Fed up with corrupt and selfish leaders, when king took over power on Oct 18 2002 throwing away Deuba goverment I totally supported him. That time I was in KTM I even went to participate in Dipawali. Because inside him I mistakenly saw a true brave leader who can lead Nepal forward and fight with maoist.

But slowly monarchy started changing color, increase in Royal salary by more that 2 times every year, power distribution limited to hardcore royals. These all showed that Gyanendra was after establishing his autocratic rule by exploiting existing terrorism and corruption.

Now today when I look back I find no difference in 12 years of so called "democratic" rule and this 3 and 1/2 years of Gyanendra's autocratic rule. Poor nepalese blood is still being sucked only the sucking mouth changed. Previously it was Koirala and company or Makune and company now it is back to Royals and their chamchas.

We need to fight and fight hard to get rid of all Shah, Rana, Koirala, Bhattarai dyanasties that exists in core of nepal's political sectioon from Royals to Maoist.

Actually they killed one driver of a car just because his car was involved in some minor accident with Army bus.

They beat a nepal yatayat driver in Koteshwor for not letting them overtake.

Well maoist are 7 parties came to understanding to establish democratic republic in nepal. And they are not allies in killing people. The understanding is based on peacful demonstration. It is half a$$ed propoganda royalist are trying to spread give bad name to democratic front.

If we talk about rumor, since day 1 maoist started there is rumor that Gyanendra controls them and funds them. Which could be true, cos till now maoist have not taken a single action against hardcore royalist. But they have always killed and suppressed democratic forces. So it looks like maoist have close tie with Gyanendra than with 7 parties.

This is true. Nirmal Niwas promoted Maoist against the Democracy..

That's why the maoists killed only political party leaders and Policemen and didn't touch a single army man until the dialogue with Sher's Government failed.

After royal massacre, Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai had publicly told that there was a un-disclosed unity and understanding between the King and the maoists.

Maoists were promoted and funded by the palace like India promoted Tamils in Shri Lanka.

i can't imagine how much torture these sipaiyes ( dandayas and army) have to go through everyday.. they must be scared, worried, mad, angry , abusive and what not. they must have become physco living in fear and stress everyday.what is goig to happen if they all say, we'll go join maoist from today. what will happen if they say, we all go be bahadurs in india and don't wanna fight. who's gonna risk thier life for 2000-3000 a month, merely daal -bhat income to protect girija, makunae and even the King.
No brothers no never blame the solders of the country.. these poor people most of the time join army to eat " rice"..... talking about siyapees.. while their bosses have fun in restaurants and grab have fun with all kinds of girls with all kinds of money from all kinds of people, these guys are out in the streets , taking risk... trying to control the crazy mob who would not hesitate to burn them alive or skin them, if they get lost from thier group....
jesus.. what a mess...
blame gyanendra, blame girija, blame everyone don't blame an innocent siyaeee doing his duty out in the streets....

If the people and politicians act like HOOLIGANS why should not these armymen shoot those hooligans ?

Just because these hooligans couldnt have their way doesnt mean they can go out and vandalize someone else's property which has always been the case in Nepal. I dont believe these people are believers of democracy.

These people are destrying the very fundamental values of democracy while claiming to bring democratic system from the hands of Ganendra.

I would have no sympathy towards these people even if these armymen go out and shoot them in their ass.

Khaobadi,

if you think they were hooligans and they should be killed. Then what is difference between you and maoist, well on second thought there is not any. Royalist (Khaobadis) and maoist (moabadis) have same philosopy and are fighting for autocratic rule. But majority of us we will beat you both one day and establish democracy.

BTW once again WE ARE FIGHTING FOR TRUE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF NEPAL, NOT FOR GIRIJA OR MAKUNE . They are also by-product of royal regime, they do not represent true nepali.

We do not agree to lick Royal ass like you guys do. Gyanendra already lost this credibility, he is no more than a tyrant. Fighting to establish his authoritian power so that he and his killer son can live happy life drinking nepalese blood and may also take hot bath on it.

At least the Royalists and Maos are frank about their agendas no matter how unpopular they might be. It is very clear from the begiing that the Maos and Royals are not opting for democracy and at least they are honest about what they believe in.

Look at the crap hooligans of so called political parties. When they could not have their way, they vandalize public property.
Is it not against the very foundation of democracy?

If they believe so much in democray, will they be able to bring democracy by first acting against the very foundations of democracy ?

khaobaadi nor is royalist or maoist frank about their agendas if you think they are it's time for you to wake up and see things around you.royals are playing with innocent nepalese people 's mind trying to make them think democracy is when all are under the king and maoist hasn't truely stated their position.
think khaobadi think world ends at democracy no matter how much you cry you can never turn a people who believes in democracy to praise autocracy but people who believes in autocracy realizes one day or another and goes to the path of democracy. this is fact my friend, sooner or later you'll realize it mark my word.

Yo Prahjatnantra,
NICE GOING ANYONE WHO DOES NOT AGREE WITH YOU A A ROYAL CHAMCHA FUGGIN MORON !! DID YOU HEAR ME SAY I SUPPORT THE KING? he he THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH ALL YOU MORONS. FOR THE 100TH TIME I DO NOT SUPPORT ANYONE. I GUESS YOUR SHITFOR BRAIN CANNOT COMPREHEND THAT.
You are quick to point out the shooting was done by the MAOS. But the 7 parties that you are supporting have been in power since 1990. what the fug have they done for the country(Besides disrupting the country) ? And has the lives of ordinary Nepali folks gotten better since then ? NO so there goes your fuggin party.
ONE THING YOU MORONS TEND TO FORGET THAT YOU CANNOT IMPLEMENT DEMOCRACY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE LAW AND ORDER. I AM FOR WHOEVER THAT WOULD BRING STABILITY TO THE COUNTRY TO ENFORCE LAW AND ORDER.
ALL I SEE IS GLOATING MOTHEREFFERS WAITING FOR THAT CHANCE TO RAKE IN THE CASH WHEN THEIR CHIPS ARE CASHED IN, instead of helping the country
