200+ years of governance by the so called royal king in Nepal has done nothing good for the people other than the royal family itself. I would be glad to correct myself if someone can point out a single social effort by the royal family that we nepalese can be proud of. I looked at the history and tried hard to discover something good that the royal family has done over years, but to my disappointment I couldn't find one. So why do we need monarchism in Nepal? If people think King is a symbol of God, we already have millions of god and it won't hurt to lose one. I honestly think that royal government in Nepal has become an onus to the nepalese people. Imagine Nepal without any government for a while. I don't know about you, but I do feel better.

Everyone agrees that there is no alternative to democracy. Look at all the developed countries; one doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that democratic system is the only environment where people can think of prosperity. Democracy is the only means to get out of the black governance of dictatorship (monarchism in Nepal's case).

Maoists took a wrong path. I don't agree with them in the military way of establishing democracy in Nepal. I am as sad as a true nepali is because of the 13000 nepali, who were killed. However, I think it is positive that maoists have reiterated time and time again that they will accept the people's mandate through constitutional assembly. I just believe and hope that Nepal can accelerate towards constitutional assembly and get rid of the monarchism, which has plagued our society for years.

Why not we press for full scale militarization of all political forces so that no one will try to pioke at each other.

How about we divide Nepal into three parts? Give one part for King to rule, another to the Maoists and last one to the political leaders.

I agree with Hurry's idea.
Just like it happens in Nepali families where a father has many sons and he is forced to divide his property among his sons so the sons would stop bickering over their dad's property.

Yaa ..lets give each pieces of Nepal to those who are bickering over what they should have gotten.
