How hard is it to get visa for a brother who wants to come for Bhaitika as well as convocation at the same time? Sister is in F1 visa attending university. Any eaperience or thoughts ? What documents might be useful to send to nepal?

In general cases, getting Visa is just matter of luck of person and mood of consular. Inviting a brother for graudation and Bhai tika has very some chances of success, if you can prove good financial background and strong ties back in nepal.

Last year I witnessed myself , a cousin and his wife, of a friend of mine got visa for convocation. We all were surprised.

so in my opinion it worths giving a try. But as a general rumour, if denied once, then it may become a sort of problem in future if he/she has to come to the USA in future.

My assumptions is, if you are in F1 visa, you are fairly young and your brother is too. It is kind a difficult for someone of an young age who could potentially stay and work here to get a visa. I know someone who tried to have her brother in for her wedding ceremony but they denied his visa. I, myself (it was few years back though) tried to have my brother come over for my graduation and they didn't let him. That might not happen now, thats just my experience. Well, good luck to you and your brother!

Give it a try.

If she has parents willing to come by that time, then it will be easier for them rather than the brother. Two friends of mine tried this and failed. However, there are some success stories too.

Guys,
You can try it out.But you can not trick khaires. If he is young enough then khaire will think "he will not return".Its just waste of $100.But why not to try it out.Who knows luc le F* garyo bhane sathi ko ta Jay bhaigo ni.

Thanks for suggestions, To let you know visa of brother was rejected but the reason is not clear. Again, he wants to apply for convocation which will be in mid of december. What will be the best option for him: either to go for interview again or appeal? I am looking forward for your good suggestions.
Thanks again
