Read this story from the Janadhisha Weekly dated June 28, 2008:

India’s Border Security forces (BSF) entered into the Nepali territory in Nawalparasi District and thrashed a Nepali citizen.

A Nepali Citizen of Hapura-4 was returning home from a nearby market at around 8:30 PM recently in his motorbike. The BSF by then had already entered to the Nepali territory…they then stopped the person in the motor bike for interrogation. That was not enough though for the BSF men to challenge the sovereignty of the citizen but they also vandalized his vehicle, looted some forty eight thousand rupees from him, and took into their possession his driving license and the owner ship certificate. They then told the person to come next day to India-crossing the open border, where the local BSF office is located.

Mr. Jamin Kasuda the victim, following to the orders went to the local BSF bureau the next day where the BSF men threatened to kill him.

Mr. Kasuda is a member of the Youth affiliate of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum.

The local Youth Forum Chief Mr. Rajendra Yadav threatened protest programs against the activities of the BSF men in Nepal and urged the Nepal government to initiate diplomatic parleys with India in order to solve the continuous thrashing of Nepali citizens by the India security forces and in the process challenging Nepali sovereignty and territorial integrity and that too on a regular basis.

Conclusion:

Bear with such a hostile neighbor.

BUT .........looking at Nepal.............I dont want to loose my head..LOL..I wnat to see my country BETTER AND RICHER THAN INDIA in MY LIFE TIME.

The home minister consulted the indian ambassador regarding it and decided not to take action as directed by the ambassador.

The point is while India is a power player it will do what it's good for it's own interests.but what are our leaders doing ? are they taking one step for our interests? They supposedly brought a change in Nepal by kicking the king out as if he was the sole reason for all problems. Let me make it clear Im not rajabadi, maobadi, or any partybadi. I'm Nepalibadi. King was not the source of all problems. He did wrong things but he stood against India on many issues that brought his downfall...by who??...courtesy Nepali public who also helped win baban singh as someone who could write our constitution.

Now there is no head of state. At least King left with grace. He was not without mistakes. He took some bad steps....but name me one other politician whose hands are clean. Just one. Can you? Can anyone ??

The reason is us. We the public, we , the only way we know how to protest is by chakka jam, vandalising public properties, and continuing the infighting. We never knew how to unite. How to put aside the minor differences and join hands. And the politicians, and yes India took , are taking, and will take advantage of that. But the real reason is us, the public.

The Madhesi groups are other extremist groups who blame everything to Pahade's as if they r the only reason , as if all Madhesi's are god's people and there is nothing they can do and nothing they should do except fighting for a separate nation or separate state. Public fails to realize that these are the only issues that the politicians depend to feed themselves. If public becomes smart, these politicians will be out of job. The question is when? The only answer I can see is producing a new generation who will be totally different. Teaching them ethics, patriotism, and honesty. It can be done I believe. The first school is house where kids can learn from parents and family members.
