Hey Guys,

I wanted to send some money to Nepal. It seems that I have to pay a 3% charge if I used a credit card but there is no charge for internet checks? I would really appreciate if anyone could explain me how these internet checks work and how can I get one? Is there any charge for it? I tried to search for it online but couldnt find anything....

Thanks in advance!!

Internet check is nothing but you provide your checking account information (routing number and bank account number), and sign electronically allowing the party to withdraw money from your bank account. There is no actual "check" involved.

The best way to send money to nepal is go to paypal.com and open the paypal debit a/c . order 2 debit cards keep one for yourself and send one to nepal through usps or any mail service (its cheap).  once your family in nepal receives the card activate the pin no. now both you and your family member has the flexibilty to withdraw money anywhere anytime from atm machines worldwide. It only cost $1.00 per transaction. Initially its $400 withdrawal per day limit but u can increase it later. the exchange rate is the same as the market rate for the day so no middle person involved no fees, its cool, flexible, can be used as a debit card in different stores and both u and u'r family member can check the a/c online anytime just by going paypal.com
