I think US should totally abbandon their relations with Israel, and start collaborating with the rest of the world. This would be good for our economy.

It’s about time. Israel is nothing but a big bully. I don’t know why we care so much about that one little country at the expense of the enitre Middle East and our Oil Supply.

I think he is pressing Israel, and I believe that is the right thing to do. We have stood by Israel and will continue to do so, but this should be a two-way relationship. The settlements violate international law and some even violate Israeli law. Do we not have the right or the will to ask they be stopped and/or dismathled? There will never be peace until BOTH sides learn to coexist, and he must demand concessions from Israel if he is to demand them from the Palestinians. I applaud the President for having the courage to speak the truth. It is high time.

All sides need to give in, especially the Isrealites. The Isreal settlements need to stop being built to show good faith. We have been coddling the Isrealies for years, it is time for them to step to the plate and take responsibility for their actions as well – they are not the pure white angels they are made out to be. President Obama is telling everyone how it should be, if you want Peace as well as our help, stop the building, stop the killing, and stop the blame game.

Its a nice change to have a president who doesnt instantly buckle to the demands Israel makes.

The things Israel have done are inexcusable.

Has it occurred to anyone that maybe, just maybe, President Obama has so many big things to deal with right now, that perhaps he just hasn’t gotten around to it yet? He’s what, less than 150 days in office, and now people are complaining he hasn’t done everything he promised to do? Maybe its just me, but I thought the point of having a 4 year term is that you have 4 years to do what you promised.

yes it is because he is seeing what Israel has been doing to the Palestinians for decades. he can see that Israel only wants to be the one controling the middle east.
all he is trying to do is to straightin things out for peace.

Yes, and that’s a good thing. Compromise is a two way street. Hamas should stop being violent, Israel should start giving Palestinans some they’d want. If Israel yells at Obama for making concessions, then that makes me wonder if they value power over peace.
