Not a good Thought. It will never be in the hand of Addressee , or the addressee has to pay more than the cost of laptop, hassle on the top of it.

ya. Tara chineko manche koi pani jana lagya chaina. My friends are going this winter tara Laptop kahan 2 mahina hyan rakhne. Nepal ko yo postal service nai yesto ande cha. Ke garne ke.

may be using FEDEX helps. Fedex have their own custom tax system, it may be different for nepal though . or I may be wrong. Whatever case it will be expensive...

Issue is not only with the postal service. It's the customs. This reminds me of an incident when I sent a humble cassette player to Nepal as I did not want to trash it. It got there but my freind had to pay more than what it cost me originally in bribes and ended up with a crappy "made in china" player. I asked him not to take it if he need to pay anything but he did not listen. His logic (how typical!) - It must be a great product if it came from the first world...
