Angkor wat  in Cambodia  is one of the biggest Hindu temple in world. Before 13th century it was dominantly hindu country. So it might be the reason they have similar language coz root for both language is Sanskrit

Thanks for the Info amitraja, I know about Angor wat but didn't know it was a Hindu temple. I have a lot of Cambodian friends, one particular guy is this older gentleman who escaped to the US after surviving the Khmer rouge, he lost half of his family because his dad was a doctor. His stories remind me that Nepal could have similar situation if things could go out of control. the battle of the Haves and the Have not, rich vs poor, democrats vs hard line communists, brother against brothers, all misled and misguided majority poor population blaming the richer middle and upperclass for their misery.

My uncle who visited Angkot Wat told me that the walls and ceilings are painted with arts from Ramayan and Mahabharat and many more Hindu Mythological deities.
Really wanned go there but when don't know.
