This is for people who used to have faith in democracy but have sidestepped with hopes that the King will do something to save the nation.

1. A lot of people were excited with the Kings takeover in the anticipation of good things to come. But so far the anticipation is the only remaining part in the Kings agenda. Just like monring shows the day, its gloomy and the sun never seems to be coming out. What are the priorities of the government as per the demand of the regular janta? A peaceful solution to the Maoist insurgency, the end of politically motivated corruption and a new era where the politics will be by the people and for the people and of the people.

2. What is happening though? A RCCC formed by the King, could charge you to be a corrupt and then decide that you are a corrupt. Its just like me claiming Saroj is a Pornstar and then punishing Saroj as a pornstar in Sajha, which could put anyone, mind you, anyone in the similar situation that does not support the King's rule. If anyone at RCCC has a vandetta against you, your life will be screwed.

3. Press Freedom: Yes freedom of press has uplifted us the janta as well as the Maoists. The censorship in press has somewhat made it difficult for the Maoists to spread their propoganda- specially Nepal banda etc. has been unsucessful. But what is the King doing now in the name of Press Censhorship, puting the "Royal Family" above the law. Those of you who love to hate Paras for his juvenile behavior, you could be thrown into jail. Read about the new PRESS law that is in the offing.

4. Ok, some of you believe that King Gyanendra is the savior of our nation. I believe a savior (leader) needs to sacrifice rather than take from the people. Does Gyanendra not have enough wealth that he has to engulf everything!! He has taken Birendra's, Dhirendra's, Nirajan's, Sruti's, Deependra's, Aishwarya's property into his own name. Shah family is not a poor family. Gyanendra has invested in Surya Tobacco, Soaltee Group (which owns Soaltee Hotel and the controversial Bhote Koshi with Panda Inc of USA), Sripadi etc. etc. etc. So why does he need 67 crore every year from the poor government? Why does he need Rolls Royce worth 14 crores from the government? Why does he need to claim commission on Aircrafts the RNA buys? Why does he want to sell Nirmal Niwas to the government?? The list goes on... My question is Where is this dudes sacrifice to the country? One has to put money where your mouth is, but does he? Where is his leadership? Why is he always trying to create an illusion? His claims of leadership are only coming from his genes-- "Hamra purkha...... etc."

5. Why does King have to dig the grave and bring back the Panchayati Ghosts? Why can't he find support in the younger, newer names? Do we seriously want Panchayat back?

So we are heading towards Panchayati system, or something similar to it, where the King and the Royal family are above the law and our voices will not be heard. Where peace is NOT the priority but putting people in jail who voice their opinion against them.


What happens when the King steps down or we throw him in exile? It will be us, the janta with high demands to the politicians to rule. With no durbar's hope or tarbar hanging on top of our head, we will have to do it ourself. Its like when you came to the US, leaving home, or when someone's older (obselete in country's terms) parents die.

So its time to realize what lies ahead for us and what we need to do-- not what the POLITCIANS WILL DO. We have to make sure they do what WE WANT!!

That sounds very good. Just like democracy sounds very good. But, how feasible is that? HOW are you going to make the politicians do what you - the janata - the common people - want? We've always had politicians and they are always supposed to do what the janata want. But, have they ever done it? What makes you think they will do what you want?

Can you outline the series of events that will happen as soon as the King flees the country? How are you going to control the army? Is there anyone even powerful enough to take control of the situation in case the King is not there?

The democracy lover's points sound great on paper. But as far as feasibility goes, they get an "F". Don't "F" with the country's future.

If you really have a plan. OUTLINE it showing HOW POWER IS GOING TO BE TRANSITIONED ONTO THE PEOPLE. Don't talk about how we'll have great politicians who are not corrupt.

I am sure lot of people are unsure about which stance to take. I think if you have a more concrete plan of action rather than some high fly ideals, there will be more support for your democratic movement.

Answer the following question which is the KEY in your movement. Please OUTLINE THE SERIES OF EVENTS THAT WILL FOLLOW AFTER LET'S SAY THE KING FLEES THE COUNTRY FEARING FOR HIS LIFE. HOW ARE YOU GOING TO CONTROL THE ARMY?

Secondly, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO DECIDE WHO'S GOING TO BE THE PRIME MINISTER - without have mara maarr kata kaat among the politicians.
