Whether today is Gyane's finest day or the worst nightmare will depend on how events play out in days ahead. If the SPAs continue with their strong alliance and move forward with the execution of the 12 point plan and bring end to the Maoist insurgency, then it'll be Gyane's worst nightmare i.e. the end of monarchy.
But if Girija, Dueba, Makuen and other bahun-chettri netas start intercine war - like in the 1990s - and going after each other instead of (1) solving the Maoist problem (2) reforming the RNA (3) ensuring GOOD GOVERNANCE, Nepalese will again look at Shah bansa as the savior. In that context, Gyane will have lost the battle but won the war.
Besides solving Maoist problem and refoming the RNA issue, the 3rd pillar of Nepalese aspiration is good governance. In that respect,
1) Grija should NOT continue as PM beyond the interim government - this guy has too much baggage (Lauda scandal)
2) We don't want to see the corrupt figures from the past esp Khum Bdr Khadka and Chiranjibi Wage - THEY MUST BE PROSECUTED BY CIAA
3) Deuaba MUST be banned from politics. When he was a PM Nepal experienced three traumatic events (1) the rise of Maoists in 1996 (2) dissolution of parliament in 2002 (3) absolute monarch in 2005.... AND his wife must be warned NOT to initiate another pyramid scheme...
more late....
