Devi Pun, 19, has been crowned Miss Paschimanchal at the end of a fierce contest during the Gul Mohar Miss Paschimanchal 2007 Beauty Pageant in Pokhara's Dipendra Sabha Griha.
The hall was full with an excited audience and groovy music to see the final contest of the 14 beautiful ladies. The even was choreographed by Ravindra Bajracharya and organised by Looks Fashion Home and Event Management.
Tall and fair Pun, aiming to be a dentist by profession, was the nomination of the audience since the beginning and it come true ultimately. Pun was also given the Miss Talent title.
In the common question, "If you do become Miss Paschimanchal, what do you intend to make Pokhara recognized as?" asked to all the five finalists, Pun's answer was "As a tourist-friendly city, rich in natural beauty with beautiful lakes, and most importantly, a safe place for people to visit."
The tallest contestant Sunaina Palikhe bagged the First Runner-up title and the Good Figure title. She said her interest was to continue modeling. Similarly, Maya Gurung won the Second Runner-up title.
Renu Kunwar won Miss Beautiful Hair, Komal Hirachan Miss Beautiful Smile, Biju Thapa Miss Friendship and Dipa Pun the Miss Discipline titles. Saru Manandhar won the Miss Catwalk and Miss Best Dress titles. Sunita KC and Namrata Gurung won Miss Photogenic and Miss Best Dance titles respectively.
