Hi Guys,

I have a basic knowledge of SQL SERVER 2000 and 2005. I am planning to take a training on SQL DBA. How tough is it to get a job? how hard is it to preform job once i get the job as SQL DBA? and what is the average salary a SQL DBA has? Help me guys.

Thanks in advance

You may have your own decision, but I would suggest you not to look for DBA job. Its very hard to find. Either its SQL Server or its Oracle. Now a days its really hard to find Database jobs. Dot Net and Java are the best for this kind of market. Even if you cannot get job through dhoti consultancy, you can try on your own for entry level positions.

I disagree with mayakobarima. I think SQL server and Oracle DBA jobs are here to stay. I feel that you can find these jobs almost anywhere in the US. If you have a major priority of not moving state through state DBA is the way to go.

Jave dotnet can be tiring DBA jobs are more relaxing . Decision is yours

Good Luck
