Germany, Japan, Brazil and India -- the so-called G4 group --launched a joint effort for permament seats on the United Nations Security Council, and are on misson to win support.
With much of "denial and not you" position adopted by powerful and not so powerful nations of the UN membership, the G4 nations are on their support seeking mission.
Dilemma for Nepal, whom to support?, India the immediate neighbor, with relationships and animosity going back to ages. Besides, there are these two friendly countries in Japan and Germany who have been good friends of Nepal both in good and bad times (though good times seems like myth for now).
Most probably Nepal's vote will go for India (and in my opinion it should), but I guess it is worth discussing on the merits and demerits of our vote to one of the three strong contenders, rulling out Brazil for now (as relatively our relationship is still in its early stage).

Hay hay, one kalekrishna was there in Martyrs Memorial School, Gyaneswor. Are you the same one?

Yes, as you said it is a complete paradox. In one hand a neighbouring country which you can not change though it is good or bad and in other hand countries like Japan and Germany. I came out of these conclusion:

1. Japan because Nepalese earn more here than in Germany.
2. Germany because more asylum seekers have been granted identity.
3. Japan because of economic development and threat to China with current text book issue might help Nepal if China try to play with soverginity.
4. Germany because once you obtain visa, you can go to any other sangen countries.
5. Japan because you can get visa even to do language.
6. Hot cake for Nepalese students as a gateway because university here is free.
7.Japan because women there are obident and humble towards husband.
8. Germany because call girl is cheaper and you have more hang-out places which you can not go with parents.
9. Japan because they help Nepal in the name of Budda.
10. Germany because you can sell soil by saying it is from Lumbini.

Better you make the decision.

I can pick Indian, and japan easily. This is the hard question for every Nepali "Karesha ko Bhut ra Tadha ko deveta " India, & Japa . Still i prefer to stay with japan rather than india eventhough without crossing india we can't even reach Japan.

In my opinion, voting for India will be a great advantage for Nepal. It's like giving a "Dada" or gangstar a place in a committee, so that he will not have ill treatment or extended hand to the Nepalese security. Bounding Dada of South-Asia in UN security council will give us somehow relief in the region. Though, its impact will never be as expected.
